Petition: Stand with Detransitioners—Demand Justice and Accountability!
Right now, the Texas Legislature is considering legislation that could either empower victims of medical abuse—or permanently shield those responsible.
House Bill 1088 by Rep. Shelby Slawson is a critical step forward for justice. It would give detransitioners—the young people who were pushed into harmful gender procedures as children—a real chance to hold the medical industry accountable. By extending the statute of limitations, HB 1088 would ensure that survivors have time to come forward and seek justice.
But two dangerous bills—House Bill 4806 and Senate Bill 30—threaten to do the opposite.
These bills, as currently written, would:

Grant sweeping legal immunity to pediatric gender medicine providers

Make it nearly impossible for detransitioners to sue those who harmed them

Silence victims and protect an industry built on experimental procedures for minors
We cannot allow this to happen.
